Über zwei Wochen erhielt die Klasse 10B jeden Morgen im Rahmen des Englischunterrichts ein „Poem of the Day“ mit kleineren Denkanstößen, um die Zeit ohne echten Schulunterricht ein wenig zu bereichern. Eine Aufgabe beinhaltete das freiwillige Verfassen eines Gedichts zum Thema „Stay at home“. Das folgende Gedicht „Birdsong“ stammt von Larissa Wutzke aus der 10B.
Birdsong

There,
right there.
Beyond my windowsill,
A little blue bird sang a song.
And even though
through harden glass,
He seemed so still
And I’d not known if notes were wrong.
There I sat,
staring.
Just until
I had watched it sing so long,
That through my glass
and through the quiet,
I heard it’s lyrics spill
and I could sing along.
And may we just not sing the same.
It was the first I sang again,
even if I lack the skill,
since last winter not so long.
